This is an exceptionally cool-looking guitar with visual/spec influences from 2 of the world's most famous Strats. 1st, the obvious: the Black Finish with a Black Pickguard with White Controls and Pickup covers screams David Gilmour (Yes, yes, Gilmore's had a 1 ply Black Guard, I know, settle down). 2nd, we've got a Lefty Tremolo, plated in Gold for the SRV vibe! So, the trem arm screws in on the bass side, NOT the treble side as you'd find on most Strats.
The neck is made from Rift Sawn Maple, and it is slightly deeper than what you find on most early 60s Strats. This neck measures in at .825" deep at the 1st fret (.790" is about average) and .945" deep at the 12th fret. It has a 10" fingerboard radius along with 6150 frets for a phenomenal feeling fretboard. The fretboard is made of a dark piece of AAA-Rated Rosewood. 1.65" nut width, and 25.5" scale round out the neck numericals.
A set of Josefina Handwound 60s Spec Single Coil Pickups is installed in this guitar. This pickup set is the perfect pairing for an Alder body, Rosewood Fretboard Strat. They have a warm, rich low end, paired with a sweet, bell-like top-end. They produce nice quack in positions 2 and 4, with some vowel-like expression. This is an inspiring guitar to play, no matter the position. The hand-winding of the pickups adds detail and nuance, along with superior interactivity with the onboard electronic controls.
