PLEK PRO MACHINE

The Music Gallery is proud to annouce that we now have the Midwest's only PLEK PRO Machine.
The Plek Pro, an industry specific CNC tool, introduces a new standard of
automation and accuracy to guitar production. Designed for fingerboard and
fretwork applications, the Plek Pro does extremely high tolerance work based on
a rapid scan of each instrument under actual string tension conditions. The
typical time for a scan, fret dress and nut cutting is less than 9 minutes. The
daily output of one machine (per 8 hours) is about 48 guitars, at a consistent,
extremely high quality level. This capability is unique in today's guitar
production. Besides achieving the highest accuracy standards, automated fret
dressing frees up skilled employees and manpower can be re-duced.
The string height can, with the aid of this precision, be adjusted ridiculously low if wanted.
What the machine does not do, is adjust the fret slots in the nut, and buffing of the frets to the final, shimmering luster. It should be added, however, that the machine is only as good as its operators. One has to have good guitar technician skills to get the most out of the machine. Something that we have here at The Music Gallery. Meet our techs.

Your instrument will come back to life after the PLEKing. The guitars play, sound, and intonate much better than they will have in a long time.
