Maxon® Pedals
Today, after nearly 25 years as an OEM supplier to some of the music industry's largest companies, Maxon is once again offering our their own brand of high quality effects pedals to the US marketplace. We carry a large selection of Maxon so give us a call at 847-432-6350 or e-mail us for pricing and availability.

Maxon AF-9 Auto Filter - The AF-9 Auto Filter represents the state-of-the art in analog filtering. Like the original Mutron III, the AF-9 uses a CdS Photocoupler (HTV #P873) rather than a VCA at the heart of its circuit. The unique sound of Photocoupler circuitry provides a liquid, shimmering, vowel-like filtering that cannot be produced with other components, giving the AF-9 superior sound quality with lower noise levels than the competition. Maxon FL-9 Flanger - A top-selling model of the original 9-Series, the FL-9's wide operation range and full frequency response allow it to work with any input signal to create a diverse assortment of modulation and time-delay effects. Improved construction including through-hole, glass reinforced epoxy PCB's, snap-in PCB connectors, and true bypass switching guarantee trouble free performance while the combination of one Panasonic MN3207 BBD IC and one Signetics NE570 compander provides warm yet crystal-clear flanging with zero clock noise. Rate, Depth and Regeneration controls allow the user to dial in everything from shimmering chorus and vibrato to hollow, metallic overtones to thick, jet-like flanging sweeps. Maxon OD-9 Overdrive Pedal - The Maxon OD-9 may look just like your old favorite, but that's where the similarities end. With improved circuitry, the OD-9 stands at the forefront of the Nine Series effects evolution. The OD-9 uses a signal-distorting diode (Panasonic #MA150) that is located in the amplifier stage's negative feedback loop (this stage also contains the JRC4558 IC chip). Therefore, the OD-9 distorts signal in the amplifier section itself which yields a smoother, milder, more natural sounding distortion than a separate clipping stage. This is also the reason that the IC type used in the circuit has such a large impact on the unit's tone. Maxon developed this unique design more than 20 years ago, an industry first that is commonplace today. Call 847-432-6350 or e-mail us for pricing and availability.

Maxon OD-808 Overdrive Pedal - Originally released in 1979, the OD808 was one of the first tube-amp overdrive simulators to hit the market. Its smooth, creamy crunch tone caught on quickly, and helped to launch a long line of predecessors as well as imitators. Today, the OD808 design is without a doubt the most used, most imitated and most lauded overdrive circuit of all time. The reason for this is simple tone. Simply put, the OD808 provides the natural, mild overdrive of a tube amp without sacrificing your guitar's original tone. In addition, it can be used as a clean booster to provide increased gain without compromising the sound of your amplifier. Call 847-432-6350 or e-mail us for pricing and availability.

Maxon PT-999 Phase Tone - With its single knob and switch, the PT999 Phase Tone is deceptively simple. Yet packed into this tiny blue box are a host of the most authentic 70's era phasing effects available in a current production unit. Simply by adjusting the unit's Rate control a wide variety of expressive phasing nuances can be coaxed from the PT999, all of them whisper quiet and amazingly transparent. The PT999's minimalist circuit frees your guitar tone to be as smooth and responsive as it is when served up a la carte (or a la effect, as the case may be).Call 847-432-6350 or e-mail us for pricing and availability.

Maxon CP-101 Compressor - The CP101 Compressor provides clean, smooth compression with ultra-low noise and incredible transparency. The CP101's 4:1 compression ratio is so subtle that it's easy to forget the unit is on until you turn it off, that is. While it is on you will notice note-to-note levels that are smoother and more consistent, chords and arpeggios that are tighter and more focused, and when used with an overdriven amp, sustain that will last for days. Best of all, you'll notice minimal coloration to your guitar signal and less of the note-attack alterations so common to other compressors. Call 847-432-6350 or e-mail us for pricing and availability.

Maxon D&S II Overdrive / Sustainer Pedal - Originally released in 1974, the D&S II Distortion & Sustainer II is a precursor to the amp-overdrive simulators of later years. With its mild drive, relaxed sustain and high output, the D&S II sits the fence between an overdrive and a distortion. This unique "split personality" makes the D&S II perfect for players that seek a natural-feeling drive sound but with more drive and output than an OD generally provides.
