Gorgeous! The figured maple top on this cool looking Music Man Axis with matching headstock is a head turning. The finish is perfect and the overall construction of this guitar is top notch. The neck is perfect for fast playing and complex chord work. I find it is one of the easiest guitars to play in the shop. Sound wise this is a rock and roll machine. Big and warm sounding with a simple layout of 2 custom Dimarzio humbuckers, a 3 way switch and a volume control. The Floyd Rose trem stays in perfect tune and is great for all those cool Van Halen and Hendrix whammy work. At this price the guitar is a steal. Stop in and try it out. The Music Man guitars are some of the best playing and sounding guitars out today. This Music Man Albert Lee is no exception. The 3 single coils have a special "Silent Circuit" that reduces the hum but still let the single coils retain their sound. Tone wise the pickups are very clean in all positions and really have a nice quack in the 2 and 4 spots. A real hybrid when it comes to tone as I found it was very easy to get both strat and tele sounds. Great for country, blues and rock. The bridge stays in tune really well and the neck is really comfortable and easy to play. A great guitar for the money and one that you have to stop in and try out. Comes with original hard shell case.
