Screaming Yellow Zonker, indeed! This is the second of two 59 Relic Strats we just got from Fender in the always-powerful Graffiti Yellow Heavy Relic finish and it is one of the best Strats in the shop. It is extremely well-balanced tonally and is a touch brighter than all the others. Even though all these Strats spec out the same, the fact that they are made of organic, formerly-living material makes them each different from the others, which is part of the voodoo aspect of guitars. Very often, the way the components come together with the wood will make certain guitars exceed their spec sheets and this guitar is one of those. Buy this, and you will totally turn into Nigel...'I play them and I cherish them...', that is, if you haven't already. Try it out and see what happens.

Wish you had a shot at winning the auction for Clapton’s “Blackie” Strat but didn’t have a million dollars burning a hole in your pocket at the time? Well, my friend, let me tell you a little about this Fender Custom Shop ‘59 Stratocaster Relic in black that just might be calling your name. Now, this isn’t Clapton’s famous guitar - but it surely has the look and vibe. And there’s a lot going on beneath that worn exterior that might just make you forget all about Eric’s favorite axe.

Let’s start with the light sort Ash body that gives this guitar a very gig-friendly weight. Throw in a 7.25" to 12" compound radius “V” Maple neck and you’ll find your bluesy bends and finger vibrato hanging for days. The heavy relic treatment only adds to the feel that this guitar has been played in every back alley blues bar across America since ’59. Soaking up all the beer, sweat, smoke and whiskey its little pores could handle – then spitting it back out with a growl and fire only a real blues guitar could muster. The Fat 50’s pickups only add to the already bluesy, full tone this guitar exhibits acoustically. With a tubular, warm clean tone in the neck position, this pickup turns fat and mean like a bar bouncer when pushed. Position 4 ranges from a subdued Jazzy clean tone to all out ZZ Top raunch, while the middle slot is a perfect blend of light and dark – great for Blues and Southern Rock. Position 2 is all about the quack and the bridge pickup is Country twang to the max. In fact, the bridge sounds like a Country record the minute you pluck a string – but you’re also able to coax some nice Blues solos out of this position with a little overdrive.

If you’re looking for a well worn, comfortable guitar that looks and feels like it has been played through all the back road bars and honky tonks from East to West, then give this one a try. She’s not a hard rocker, but if you’re into Blues-Rock, Jazz or Country she’ll be your new best friend.

Our price includes personalized set up, hardshell case, and free shipping to the continental United States.

Picture yourself in a boat on a river with tangerine trees and marmalade skies. Somebody calls you, you answer quite slowly… Sir, are you okay? Sir? There you are – don’t worry, it happens to everyone who checks out this Candy Tangerine Custom Shop Custom Deluxe Strat. The color is mesmerizing, isn’t it? Add in a comfortable '65 “C” neck with light figuring to the maple and you’ve got a subtle beauty that really grows on you.

Blending old-school Strat vibe and styling with features modern players have come to prefer, such as a 9.5" radius, 6105 frets, and a RWRP middle pickup, this is pretty much a perfect Strat - in a non-vintage type of way, of course. The ’69 neck pickup exhibits a round, thick tone, especially when overdriving an amp. Position 4 just screams blues, blues, blues while the ’69 middle pickup will delight Country pickers with its bright, full and snappy sound. Position 2 spews out a thinner, more nasal tone that gets nasty like early Keith Richards when driven. And the Texas Special bridge pickup is very bright and yields a great raunchy tone when goosed. Great for Rock, Blues, Country or Jazz, this guitar offers up a wide sonic range in a cool package. The tones are full, punchy and classic and the neck fills the hand but never seems too big. If you can stop yourself from staring at it long enough to play it, there’s no doubt it’ll find its way into your collection.

Rock and roll graffiti can define a player as well as an era, like the famous inscription in the London subway reading "Clapton is God” spray-painted in ’67 by an admirer on a wall in an Islington Underground station. Graffiti also became associated with the anti-establishment punk rock movement beginning in the 1970s. But you don’t have to be a rock god or an anarchist to make a statement with this Fender Custom Shop Custom Deluxe Stratocaster in Graffiti Yellow – it’ll make a statement for you.

While the bright yellow finish can scream on its own, this baby really sings with excellent sustain and resonance from the mix of Alder body, figured ’65 “C” neck and 6105 frets.

Add in Custom ’69 pickups in the neck and middle with a Texas Special in the bridge and you’re ready to take on anything that stands in your way. The neck and “4” positions dole out a full, mellow clean tone that nails soulful Jazz and Blues with aplomb. Adding a little dirt summons a gritty, warm tone with attitude that’ll keep Blues Rockers satisfied. In the middle you’ll find a nicely clear, jangly sound that’s perfect for chords and clean strumming work. Position 2 and the bridge pickup add in some spank and twang that’s not overly bright but still cuts well, and with a little drive can nail snarling Rock leads.

So no matter what you’re trying to say on stage, this guitar will help you get your message across loud and clear. Isn’t it time you made your own statement?

Most people tend to equate the twangy Telecaster with Country music, but from your first pluck of this Fender Custom Shop Custom Deluxe Stratocaster in Sonic Blue you’ll hear that old school Country tone pour out. That’s not to say the combo of the ’69 pickups in the neck and middle positions with a Texas Special in the bridge can’t handle Blues and Rock, but this one leans toward that Nashville tone. And with its meaty but comfortable ’65 “C” all Maple neck and thicker 6105 frets, pedal steel licks and double stops are no problem. Unplugged, this guitar sounds a little darker than expected with good sustain. And once you flip on the amp you’re greeted with a full, round tone in the neck position with good articulation. Adding in some dirt gives off a fat, thick growl that’ll handle Blues licks with the best of ‘em. Position 4 is very snappy with pronounced mids that can get throaty and mean when pushed. Switching to the middle pickup yields a mellow but bright tone reminiscent of 70’s Rock. Position 2 brings on the Funk with a snappy clean quack while the bridge pickup is pure Country twang all the way. Whatever your style, this guitar will be up for the challenge.

But if you’re a Country fan who is looking for that old school tone with enough bite to handle modern Country Rock, this guitar is right up your alley. And the combination of Sonic Blue finish, all Maple neck and mint green pick guard is amazingly cool. Stop in and try out your best Nashville licks and you’ll see what I mean.

There’s something about a sunburst Strat that gets me every time. Maybe it’s the sheer beauty and richness of the black, red and yellow running together in such a perfect blend. Or maybe it’s because a few of my favorite players wielded a ‘burst while cranking out some of the best songs in Rock and Blues history. Whatever the reason, guitars like this Fender Custom Shop Custom Deluxe Stratocaster in 3-tone Sunburst are a constant reminder of what I love about this instrument.

Pairing an immaculate finish with a beautiful, lightly figured ’65 “C” Maple neck adds class to this already stunning guitar. While the neck feels a bit thicker and meaty, it’s easy to navigate and the 6105 frets are smooth and forgiving – allowing even the most aggressive tone bender to dig in and wail. And the rosewood board adds a little darker flavor to the tone but does not stand in the way of the excellent sustain you’ll hear from each note.

The ’69 pickups in the neck and middle positions range from warm and inviting to clear and sweet on clean settings, but can rage, growl and spit with the right amount of drive behind ‘em. The Texas Special in the bridge is full of twang and bite – perfect for anything from pedal steel Country licks to hard driving Rock. But be careful, this pickup can get out of control quickly with too much distortion – so keep it under control and you’ll be rewarded with tone to spare.

I can’t say enough about the amazing sunburst finish on this guitar. This thing is extra smooth, like glass, and will give you every kind of Strat sound you will ever need. And she weighs in at 8 lbs even, so it should be no strain on the ol' shoulder. Give us a call for more info or to take her home tonight.

Whenever I see a red guitar I’m reminded of “Little Red Riding Hood” – don’t ask me why, I’m just weird like that. But here’s the thing, “Little R” (as I like to call her) was an idiot. I mean, c’mon, could she really not tell her grandmother was the wolf? Granny must’ve been one heinous looking, hairy chick! So where am I going with this … ah yes, I wanted to tell you that, unlike our little fairy tale simpleton, this Candy Apple Red Custom Deluxe Strat packs a lethal combo of beauty, brains and a**-kicking tone that’ll make your ears, eyes and grin as big as that big, bad wolf’s!

Complementing the light weight Ash body with transparent finish is a beautiful large “C” Birdseye Maple neck that plays effortlessly and adds a little tonal heft without getting in the way. Add in a couple modern conveniences like locking tuners for stability and a heel carve for better upper fret access and you’ve got yourself a serious wolf in granny’s clothing.

And when it comes to tone, this one’s a real treat for the ears. Pumping out warm and clear clean tones to growling Rock chunkiness, the Master Design neck pickup will dish out all you can handle. Switch to Position 4 and go from warm, smooth Jazz tones to Texas Blues with ease. In the middle you’ll find a little more mids – perfect for the Blues Rock player, and Position 2 cleans up with serious snap and pop with a nod to 70’s Rock when pushed. For the Country chicken pickers, the bridge pickup is a real basket of goodies while Rockers will enjoy the biting overdriven lead tones you can coax with a cranked amp or pedal.

So here’s a tip - don’t be like Little R. Stay out of the woods (that’s just asking for trouble), don’t talk to strangers (unless, of course, they have candy) and buy this “axe” to take to granny’s house just in case.

Don’t call me “mellow yellow!” This 2011 Fender Custom Shop Custom Deluxe Stratocaster is as sweet as it gets, but don’t think for one second she’s doesn’t have a rebellious side.

The first thing you’ll likely notice is the eye-popping Graffiti Yellow finish covering its alder wood body. Toss in a beautifully figured ’65 “C” neck for a little added heft, a mix of ’69 and Texas Special pickups and 6105 frets and you’ve got a freakin’ rock machine, baby! The thicker neck plays smooth and allows for excellent bending, especially in the upper register, while adding some fatness to the overall tone of the guitar. And speaking of fat, the ’69 neck pickup is full, fat and round with juicy blues-rock on tap when driven. Position 4 cranks up the blues tone to “11” while the ’69 middle pickup spews out that Country twang – DANG! Position 2 quacks like a harmonic duck and loves to get dirty. And the Texas Special bridge pickup cuts thru very well without being overly bright – perfect for Rock leads, especially with a little delay.

This is a very cool axe with a unique look and feel. The thicker neck really adds to the fuller tone and beefier sound of this Strat, and makes the bridge pickup very useable for hard rock. Don’t let the color fool you, this one is a flat out rock machine with tone to match. And as an added bonus, you’ll never lose it on a dark stage!

Despite the obvious resemblance to those famous shoes, this guitar is far more than mere eye candy.

Sporting modern features such as a heel carve for improved upper fret access, locking tuners for added stability, 4-way switching, a modern bridge and Grease Bucket tone controls, this is one wicked axe! Lightning fast runs, huge bends, effortless slides and snappy pops jump off the dark rosewood fretboard while the mid 60’s “C” neck feels just right in your hand.

Tonally, the Abby Hand Wound neck pickup pushes out a deliciously warm and smooth sound that growls like a lion when pushed. Switching to Position 3 turns this guitar into the king of the blues, while Position 2 offers up a very useful clone of position 4 on a Strat. The Duncan BG in the bridge serves up the perfect blend of brightness and clarity that cuts thru clean and can go from nasty overdrive to singing sustain for harder Rock. The beautiful sparkle finish and modern touches on this guitar really make this a stand-out for the working musician who needs access to a wide variety of tones. Oh, and just a suggestion – leave the ruby slippers at home, nobody needs to see those on stage.

Calling all Jeff Beck fans!! This Fender Custom Shop Ltd. Edition Esquire Relic is 1 of only 30 made and is aimed at all you 50's Fender aficionados out there. Finished in an expertly relic’d shade of Desert Sand, the well worn gold / copper pick guard and hardware add just the right patina to this axe. Throw in a very comfy and worn in 10/56 V-shaped neck and you’ll be making fast runs and big bends with no problemo.

Oh, and this is one very resonant guitar that sustains extremely well – both unplugged and Wired (did you catch that?). Here’s the Blow by Blow (hee hee) … this treasure is loaded with a Duncan BG-1400 bridge pickup that is connected to Eldred custom wiring and the Grease Bucket tone circuit, which is a fancy way of saying 'three great tones from one pickup.' The neck position is a bit muted but works well with overdrive, while the bridge position is bright but not harsh – very good for Country cleans to driven Rock leads. The tone knob affects the middle position only, but it’s all you’ll need to wrangle everything from smoldering Jazz to all out Rock from one pickup! Truth is (look, I did it again!), this one is for the discerning Esquire fan who is looking for something special from the Fender Custom Shop.

With its “old school” Beck vibe, wide range of tones and Rough and Ready (stop it, you’re killing me!) worn feel, you’ll be hard pressed to find another like it. If you love that biting, snarling Esquire thing, this one does it all day long. Ok, tired of the Beck references? Well, You Had It Coming! (Ha! I crack myself up …)
