When you first lay eyes on this Taylor Limited T-3/B with heavily grained Macassar Ebony top, Sapele neck and Koa binding, she reminds you of an exotic dancer. And no I don’t mean the drunken strippers off I-90 with bruises and cigarette burns. I’m talking about the exotic women of the islands that mesmerize you with their beauty and tantalize you with their sensuous curves and lyrical moves.

The folks at Taylor have been branching out into the electric and semi-electric worlds for a few years now, and this T-3/B is one of their finest works to date. The finish work on this guitar is impeccable and the wood grain all around is simply stunning. With its flatter radius and fast, easy playing neck, you’ll have no trouble chording intricate Jazz patterns, bending into some sweet Blues licks or laying into some killer lead runs. And with tone reminiscent of a brighter, tighter 335, you’ll surely find your sound no matter your style.

The Taylor Vintage Alnico Humbuckers are a treat to play and range from clear and articulate in the neck to bright and snappy in the bridge. Not overly warm in any position, these pickups really cut through a mix and give some extra clarity to overdriven tones that you’ll appreciate when your voice stands out loud and clear. This is not a hard rocker’s guitar, though I was able to nail some Jimmy Page style tones in the middle position. It does, however, handle Jazz, Blues, Country and Alt Rock extremely well. And the addition of the Bigsby makes it that much cooler while giving you one more tool to define your sound.
