This guitar gives 59 Les Paul VOS a run for it's money. The 57/08 pickups gives this guitar that vintage PAF sound. Perfect for rock and blues. Plugged into a Marshall Bluesbreaker it pumped out all the great tones from Clapton, Page and Gibbons. I nailed the tone from Clapton's Bluesbreaker disc. Pumped with a little more mids I hit the tone from "Heartbreaker" and "Tush". Plugged into a Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier I nailed the tone from the 80's to today's modern sounds. The neck is a wide fat shape which is similar to a 60's Les Paul neck. A great playing and looking guitar.

The DGT is built to David Grissom's exacting specs. The pickups are modeled after the pickups in his Gibson ES-335 and they sound incredible. Great for blues and classic rock tones. Very full and clear. I found it easy to get tones similar to the classic tones Billy Gibbons has on the ZZ Top discs. The coil tap gives you some great single coil tones that works well for country or the biting blues tone of Buddy Guy or Rory Gallagher. The neck has nice big frets and fits well in the hand. Not quite as loud as a big box Gibson but it has those cool mellow jazz tones of Joe Pass and Wes Montgomery. Plugged into Marshal with a slight gain this guitar really sings. BB King and Freddie King tones were easy to dial in. But what makes this a really cool guitar is the LR Baggs / PRS Piezo system which gives you a real acoustic modeling sound.
