“Freakin’ Gorgeous!” That’s what you’re going to say when you first lay eyes on this PRS SC 58 Artist in a stunning Smoked Orange ‘burst finish. And if you’re able to stop staring at it long enough to play you’ll realize just how awesome this guitar really is! With its fast and furious Pattern shape neck, modern hardware and rosewood-faced headstock, this guitar epitomizes class, beauty and playability.

But wait, there’s more! The patented PRS 57/08 pickups are simply AMAZING! A little brighter and clearer than “normal” humbuckers, these pickups offer up a modern, hi-def tone that covers everything from Jazz to Hard Rock with clarity and a sonic “bloom” you have to hear to believe. The neck position reels off modern Jazz licks in spades; throw a little overdrive in the mix and you’ve got a biting Blues / Rock tone with balls. The middle position greets you with a crisper, round tone with plenty of mid warmth – perfect for just about any style, but especially at home with nasty Roadhouse Blues. And the bridge pickup squawks with a muted brightness that handles modern Country and Alt Rock cleans to all out singing Modern Rock leads.

And, forgive me, but I really must come back to the finish on this guitar. The smoked orange ‘burst over a carved “Artist Grade” figured maple top is truly one of the nicest I’ve ever seen. Reminds me of an African sunset. Not that I’ve ever been to Africa, but that sure sounds better than an Illinois sunset doesn’t it? Yea, you get the picture.
