Yes! I want my guitar plek'ed. [Add $125.00]

This Used 2004 PRS Swamp Ash Special in Tobacco Sunburst is in on trade and is it in nice shape.

It does show some light cosmetic finish wear but nothing serious or that makes it thru to the wood. The neck is straight, the frets still have plenty of life left in them and the truss rod is functioning properly. Included with the guitar is a gig bag. Most likely the 1st or 2nd guitar to roll off the production line in 2004 (according to the serial number). This is a fine example of another wayward model from Paul Reed Smith guitars.

This Paul Reed Smith Swamp Ash Special has a highly figured Maple neck on it with a vintage toner to give it a yellowed appearance. The Swamp Ash body finished in a Tobacco burst has a nice subtle look compared to many of the wildly figured top on many PRS. The neck is bolted on giving the guitar a bit more snap than their set neck models. The middle pickup, a Seymour Duncan Vintage Rails is tied to the push/pull control on the Master Tone pot. Pull is to activate the middle pickup and to split the bridge pickup to single coil. A great choice for funk, R&B, rock and blues, this PRS isn’t meant to perform it’s best in high gain scenario’s.

  • Weight: 8 lb 8 oz
  • Body: Swamp Ash Body
  • Neck: Highly Figured Maple Neck, Bird Inlays, Locking Tuners
  • Pickups: 2 PRS McCarty Humbuckers, Seymour Duncan Vintage Rail middle pickup, 3 Way, Volume, Tone with Push/Pull

Plek Machine
Plek Machine
  • Does your guitar buzz when you play certain notes?
  • Do chords sound out of tune when you play them?
  • These are things that can be fixed when you have the frets and neck properly set up. Fine-tuning the neck and frets previously required hours of work by a skilled luthier. Now this can be accomplished in hours using out innovative German-built Plek machine.
  • This incredibly sophisticated, computer-controlled machine scans and evaluates the positions of the strings, string height, and frets along the length of the neck. It then compares the measured result to stored optimum values. It then cuts and smooths the frets and nut to achieve the best playability with minimum string height. The result is a fretboard that feels great with every note ringing out clear and true.
  • The Plek machine can also cut a nut and plane a finger board.
  • Check out our videos and see it in action.
