Yea, I’m betting you all know who Albert Lee is. Fantabulous guitarist who did more for Tele twang than just about anyone in history. Crazy, white fro’d, Einstein lookin’ dude who can rip it up ten ways to Sunday. Yep, that’s him. So it should come as no shock that his “signature” guitar would look like something ripped right out of a Jetson’s episode. Flying cars, robot maids, floating high rise developments … and this Music Man Albert Lee in futuristic classic candy finish. Cool.

And while its unique look and style may have some of you wondering why a Tele master would help design such an instrument, when you pick this guitar up and start to play it’ll all become clear. Sporting a sleek, lightning fast and ultra-comfortable rosewood neck, you’ll find yourself ripping through all kinds of crazy licks before you even plug this guitar in. But once you hook up to your amp, the dual DiMarzio humbuckers will prove this ain’t no ordinary axe. In fact, I’m pretty sure there’s nothing it can’t do. The overall tone of this guitar is brighter than most humbucking designs, but that lends itself to a solid, cutting sound that won’t get buried in the mix. From fat, singing overdriven leads in the neck to nasally, bright chicken pickin’ twang in the bridge that burns into hard rock territory with ease, you’ll find usable tones galore inside. Positions 2, 4 and the middle all give up varying degrees of mid-heavy cleans that drive into soulful Blues/Rock, fuzzy Classic Rock and straight up Hard Rock lead tones depending on your mood.

Overall, this is a fantastic guitar that can cover any style imaginable. Who knows, maybe Albert was visited by aliens who told him this design was mathematically perfect and would harness the energies of the universe to create a harmonically superior instrument.
