Martin Guitars has been around since 1833 which is pretty remarkable. They have survived World Wars, a depression, wood shortages and hundreds of thousands of bad guitar players. Other manufacturers have come and gone but Martin still creates some of the best acoustic guitars on the planet.

This OMCE Mahogany is no exception. Made with FSC® Certified Woods this beautiful guitar is dressed to the nines with a solid European Sitka Spruce top and solid Mahogany back and sides. The mahogany is stunning with a great grain and color. Sound wise the tone is deep and rich for a smaller bodied guitar. Extremely expressive and reacts well both finger picked and strummed. Found it a little mellow on the treble side but the clarity is remarkable. Plugged in the MiSi simple jack system does a great job of reproducing the tone of this guitar. Not harsh or bright like you would get from a normal under the saddle pickup.

The neck is the low oval shape that is very easy to play and really cuts down on hand fatigue. Takes no effort to play chords or single lines and the Plek'ed frets and smooth and polished. Intonation is excellent.
