This Martin Merle Travis D-28M Limited Edition is a great sounding guitar and one of the best sounding acoustics we have. Big, beautiful tone that is nicely balanced. The bass is warm and round, the mids are nice and clear and the highs are nice a sparkling. Great guitar for finger picking, single note runs and light strumming. The neck is easy and fast to play and is shaped more like an electric guitar neck which is what Merle Travis wanted we he bought his guitar in 1947 and had Paul Bigsby make him a neck that matched his electric guitar. Merle played this guitar from 1947 till his death in 1983 and when I played this guitar I could see why. A unique look, limited edition and great sounding. Stop in and check it out.
