This Fender Custom Shop Yuri Shishkov Masterbuilt FMT (Flame Maple Top) Stratocaster in stunning Blood Orange is the Jessica Rabbit of guitars – sexy, voluptuous and gorgeous to look at. But don’t let the good looks fool you, she’s a real player too! We have a lot of Strats on the wall, but this is truly a cut above many of them and you can tell the moment you plug it in.

You’ll feel like you’re flying when you cruise up and down the lightly flamed mid-60’s oval “C” neck. Bends, slurs and arpeggios all flow with ease over the vintage frets. The large headstock gives this one both a cool look and a little added heft. And the sustain - oh my! This guitar is INSANELY resonant unplugged and sustains like crazy when you hold a note.

Employing Texas Special pickups, this guitar gives off a warm, soulful tone in the neck position that turns deep and throaty when pushed. Position 4 yields a thicker twang with a meaty growl on overdrive while the middle slot is more subdued but singing with a gritty driven tone. Position 2 is warm with an emphasis on the mids – perfect for overdriven blues, and the bridge position is smokin’ hot! Pushed thru the amp with a little wah put me right into Hendrix land.

There’s no doubt this one’s a real looker - one of those 'no excuses' guitars that delivers the goods, the mojo, the vibe, and everything else from the first note you play on it. It is lively and responsive in the hands, and the chunky headstock and hexagon tuning knobs (yep, hexagon) add some funk to the mix. But the real beauty of this guitar lies in the tone, and I do mean TONE! This ain’t no cartoon rendering of the perfect axe, she’s the real deal and is waiting for you right here in the store.
