It’s a Firebird. No, it’s a mutant Tele. Wait, it’s a … Limited Edition La Cabronita Reverse Jazzmaster Relic? That’s right folks. What we have here is a very cool rendition of a guitar that never was, but should have been. With its reversed Jazzmaster body and single TV Jones pickup, this unique piece is sure to turn heads – in a good way!

Vaguely resembling a cross between a Firebird, Tele and twisted Jazzmaster, this guitar brings a new look and tonal flavor to the Fender stable. Sporting a large “C” neck that feels perfectly broken in, a maple fret board aged to perfection and crazing on the nitro finish that is just, well, crazy, this guitar looks like a proto-type that has been locked away in the Fender lab for decades. Add in some oversized knurled metal knobs and milky white acrylic tuners and you’ve got yourself one nifty axe!

The single TV Jones pickup is very articulate and crisp, and can go from “spanky” to “cranky” depending on your mood. Favoring Country twang to Rockabilly on clean settings, dirtying it up a bit yields current Country / Rock tones that can easily get pretty nasty if you want to. Punk Rock, EMO and Alt Rock are definitely within reach. The larger size of the volume and tone knobs make them easily adjustable on the fly, and the Grease Bucket tone circuit offers up a wide range of tones from the single pickup. This is a great guitar for rhythm playing and chord work, so all you rhythmatists take notice. If you are yearning for something a little different, this one just might be for you.
