This Fender® Custom Shop 56 NOS Stratocaster® in 3 Tone Sunburst looks and feels as though it just came fresh off of Leo’s bench yesterday … nearly 60 years ago! The finish and fret work are impeccable, the ‘burst is stunning and the neck feels and plays just right.

The tone is very percussive and responsive to the touch with no hint of muddiness in any position. This guitar would be excellent for Country, Pop or Funk style riffing, and could handle jangly rock with ease. The neck pickup is warm and crisp while the bridge is bright and snappy. The middle pickup is very musical and falls nicely in between the neck and bridge tones. These 50’s pickups are very sensitive to changes in the tone control and give you a lot of range to work with. This is a classic Strat that feels like it just came off the bench. She just needs someone to break her in right. Could that someone be you? “Like a viiiirrrgin” (just a little reminder in case that song somehow escaped your consciousness … hee hee).
