This Fender Custom Shop 64 Jazz Bass Journeyman Relic in Vintage White is brand new, and comes with its original hardshell case and certificate of authenticity. This electric bass weighs 9 lbs 11 oz.
The Fender Jazz Bass has been heard on 10's of thousands of recordings across all decades since its introduction in 1960 so there's no need to discuss its relevancy. This Custom Shop recreation celebrates the iteration from 1964. Made with an Alder Body, Maple Neck, Rosewood Fingerboard, and a pair of handwound Jazz Bass Pickups, this bass nails the sound of the era.
The neck is made from quarter-sawn maple and carved to a 60s U profile. The depth at the 1st fret measures .790" and at .990" at the 12th fret. The fingerboard is made from AAA rosewood, has a 9.5" fingerboard radius, and 6150 frets. Other neck numericals include a 1.5" nut width and 34" scale length.
A pair of hand-wound Jazz Bass Pickups sound phenomenal. Warm, rich, and with quite the range, the pickups, and on-board controls are truly stellar.
